About This Item

M

R.I.P. ihr zwei Hübschen!

Visited 12/5/2021 Wombatwandering took it to Goal! - Arsenal London, United Kingdom - 9.07 miles  Visit Log

Zooming all over London collecting travel Covid tests. There’s a run on them with Christmas and Omicron fast approaching. Quick stop for you at Emirates Stadium, home of Arsenal Football Club. A new green dot appeared there recently and I wanted that cleaned up. 🥅

Visited 12/4/2021 Wombatwandering took it to Kew Clamber London, United Kingdom - 5.52 miles  Visit Log

What’s better than some tree climbing next to the River Thames and the National Archives on a chilly day in London? The muggles were a bit perplexed but it’s pretty impossible to be stealthy here. Finished with some cache maintenance of my own. 🥷🏻

Visited 12/3/2021 Wombatwandering took it to The Great Marble Arch Mound Climb London, United Kingdom - 17.77 miles  Visit Log

Tonight I took you to an event on top of the Marble Arch Mound, a temporary lump of dirt and scaffolding next to Marble Arch. What an eyesore. It has been dubbed “London’s Worst Tourist Attraction”. The cost was almost £6 million. Hard to believe someone agreed to build it. It originally had an entry fee but was so catastrophically bad that it had to be made free entry, but we had a fun time anyway. 💩

Visited 11/30/2021 Wombatwandering took it to #05 Ellenbrook Fields Loop Eastern England, United Kingdom - 136.52 miles  Visit Log

Had a geocaching date today so headed to Hatfield in Hertfordshire. Lots of places closed down. We struggled to find somewhere for lunch. 🍳

Visited 11/29/2021 Wombatwandering took it to Someware Over The Rainbow South West England, United Kingdom - .82 miles  Visit Log

Headed west out of Lyme Regis today, first to the Ware Cliffs for some fossil hunting - lots of ammonites. Then we went up and along the South West Coast Path through an area called the Undercliff which is a biologically and geologically unique area. Finished my time in Lyme Regis with some local gin tastings and then had a fiasco getting home due to the points being damaged in the recent storm. Still some snow on the ground in places. 🦕

And you are safely back in Lyme Regis after a decent hike. Made it to the sea wall just at last light. Plenty of torchlight hammering action on the Jurassic Cliffs as people chip away for fossils. Fish and chips time. 🔦

Visited 11/28/2021 Wombatwandering took it to The Magnificent Journey. Southern England, United Kingdom - 2.69 miles  Visit Log

Over the past three years, I’ve been dipping in and out of the Magnificent Journey geocache which involved contacting cachers in certain spots around the world. They had to locate the next set of coordinates for me.

I found people who were my real life friends, others who’d moved my Travelbugs, some through word of mouth, two by looking at local events, and the rest by checking COs of local caches. We’ve gone through pandemics, lockdowns, olympics, roadworks that destroyed a cache, Earthquakes, and heart break.

Today, I took you to the magnificent Jurassic Coast to find the final cache and complete the journey. The day was glorious and the hiking was great. I love being on the South West Coast Path. What a perfect ending. Looking forward to meeting two of my team members shortly (fingers crossed). 🌍

You’ve taken the train to Lyme Regis in Dorset. It’s on the Jurassic Coast and the area is a favourite with us because we love looking for fossils. Found some caches in town before watching the Christmas lights being turned on. ✨

Another day, another geocaching event. We are very social here in London. Supposedly the Twickenham pub where the event was held is ‘the most famous rugby pub in the world’. Never heard of it but then I’m no rugby fan. Whatever….🏉

Visited 11/25/2021 Wombatwandering took it to Vincent Square London, United Kingdom - .47 miles  Visit Log

I needed a cache starting with V today and this one was the closest. Very convenient because Vincent Square belongs to my son’s school and he happened to be walking past on his way to climbing. Pretty sure he was thrilled to find his mother hanging out in a phone box reeking of pee. Got to get that smiley! You visited Buckingham Palace on our way home. Unfortunately the Queen was not in residence to receive you. 👸🏻
