Crew from Waterloo Geocoin

This geocoin's goal is the same as a good pint of Guinness.  To travel anywhere and everywhere in the world.  To be shared with friends after a long day of geocaching or at an geocaching event.  Like a nice pint of stout this coin will make you feel good when you discover it or grab it.

This geocoin looks like a pint of Guiness stout served in one of their trademarked distinctively shaped pint glasses.
Guinness stout is a 200 year old style of beer that is made in Dublin Ireland and then sent to thirsty beer lovers all over the planet.

It has been made the same way throughout most of its history, however Guiness changed it's formula in the 1970s to make it more "drinkable" by reducing the density and flavor of Guiness Extra Stout in an effort to make it more competitive with all the lighter bodied mass produced beers that were in fashion during this dark period of beer history.  This was also the start of a troubling time for the Guiness brand.  It was then sold several times and is now owned by Diago PLC a multi-national conglomerate which recently closed it's historic original brewery in Dublin.  I remain positve, it still tastes pretty good and their historic brewery in Dublin has not been sold off, so it may reopen again some day, they may even go back to using the original formula again if public support has anything to do with it.
