The first goal was completed, getting to Florida, except the rest of the team didn't make it! New year, new goal. This year the championship game is Jan 7, 2008 at the Louisiana Superdome. GCE02C is the closest non-virtual cache I could find.
OLD GOAL-A friend to the numerous Blue and White Faithfuls, JoePa would love to visit the Orange Bowl, site of the 2004 BCS Championship Bowl Game prior to Penn State playing there in January 2005. I may have to revise this mission if the season doesn't go the way I hope but the great thing about football is it is a new season every year. On the way JoePa would love to visit any football games or stadiums at any level.
NEW GOAL- Any Bowl Stadium and pictures of any football stadiums (all levels, Pop Warner, HS, College, Pro, heck, throw in any baseball stadiums!) along the way

JoePa looked lonely so we decided to take him to a Spokane Indians game this week. I went to college an hour from Penn State so I figured this would fit.

This cache is not one of the locations that was asked for by the bug's owner, but I figured Joe needed a vacation and this is a great place for it.

I have a story about JoPa. I am a Penn State graduate: 1950-54. As a freshman we had to take phys-ed. Joe Paterno was one of our phys-ed instructors and assistant to football coach Rip Engle. Rosy Greer was a class mate, though I only saw him on the football field. I also have family still in Happy Valley, so this travel bug is a fun one for me.

JoePa had a big day touring the Denver sports venues. Here are pictures of him from Coors Field home of the Rockies; Pepsi Center home of the Nuggets, Avalanche, and Crush (arena football -- a sport? Not!); and Invesco Field home to the Broncos, Mammoth (Lacrosse) and Rapids (Soccer). JoePa is off to Grand Junction on Colorado's Western Slope next.
