About This Item

This hiking staff was "born" on the first camping trip I took as a Boy Scout.  My father was my assistant Scoutmaster and I remember him sitting by the fire... big pot of black coffee boiling and he made this small tree into his hiking staff.  When he was diagnosed with cancer in 2010, I told him that the only thing that I wanted was this staff.  "Daddy Don" left us in March 2011 but I keep this staff around to remind me of what a great father I had.

In May 2011, my brother Glen and nephew Joshua along with my Cousin Ron and his son Phillip traveled to the Grand Canyon.  "Daddy Don's Hiking Staff" went with us.  When you see me at events, camping or hard-core bushwhack caching... this hiking staff will be with me.
