Annie M.G. Schmidt has been buried at Zorgvlied in Amsterdam, Netherlands (Amsteldijk 273).
This coin wants to move as close to her final resting place as possible, and when arrived there can be left at her grave.
As her characters liked to roam freely, we'll try to drop off the coin in Sri Lanka, to allow for some exciting travelling back home to the Netherlands.
Annie M.G. Schmidt (1911-1995) was a Dutch writer famous for her children's stories. She stood out in seeing children in their own right, which translated in very independent and free-thinking characters like Pluk van de Petteflet and Otje.
If you don't know her work, read it! Especially if you have children, it will give them some memories they'll never forget. For example, Pluk van de Petteflet has been translated in Enlish as "Tow-Truck Pluck" and is also available in many other languages. Minoes has been translated as "Minnie".
