Our goal is for Gloomy Bloomie to participate in as many races/walks/marathons across the globe as possible. He comes with a clip to attach to a belt loop and does not add much weight. Please give him lots of TLC, but don’t let him be a slacker! He loves to have his picture taken, winner or loser, and posted with your log. Gloomy would like to be back in the Missoula, Montana area in time for the Bloomsday Run May 1, 2005

About This Item

Eeyore

Eeyore (the eternal gloomy one) has been part of our lives for the past 5 years. To date, he has just been ‘hanging around’. We thought it was time for him to start enjoying one of our favorite pastimes, traveling.

To inaugurate his journey, we took him with us on our 4th annual “Lilac Bloomsday Run” in Spokane, WA today, May 4, 2003. We have dubbed him “Gloomy Bloomie” as Bloomsday participants are called “Bloomies”. You can check out Bloomsday at http://www.bloomsday.org/.

 

The metal runners are a permanent monument celebrating Bloomsday.

Gloomie has made it home, safe and sound. His owner had a little health side-track, but "bribe" will be on its way to the prison guards soon. Gloomie enjoyed his travels around the country and plans to stay in Oregon for the time being.

This is the Warden speaking. Gloomy Bloomie has been released from the Travel Bug Prison and will begin his journey home as soon as I can get to the post office. He has been a model inmate, and his parents have negotiated his release. Happy trails and best of luck to you, Gloomy Bloomie.

Gloomy Bloomie (aka Eyore) has been reunited with his buddy Pooh (TBJC6Z). The two of them have been nothing but trouble ever since and will be put in TB Prison soon for a short rehabilitation.
