These days it is not uncommon to leave your place of birth and move to a different town, different country or even a different continent. I, for instance, come from Berlin in Germany, but have been living in Scotland for over 10 years.

Born and raised in Kamloops- I actually did a year abroad for Uni in the UK and enjoyed visited Scotland- my housemates thought I was crazy as I would hop on a train or cheap plane (wow you have cheap flights) on weekends and check out another part of the UK - Scotland was very kind to me. I love it here...
