I'm sad to see this sassy lass go, but we had a good run! Her story is a great one, and I'm so glad that I was with her when she made it to her goal. My BFF Love2Sing41 snapped some photos of the occasion and I suspect she'll post them shortly.
Late in September I'd picked this amazing TB at a hotel in Ithaca, NY. I figured I could move her a bit closer to Binghamton, but then realized that my Finger Lakes Region Volkssport Club December walk was scheduled to be IN Binghamton. So she's travelled around with me quite a bit and I wanted to leave her in a worthy spot. When I started my research I was delighted to discover that there was a Traveller's Hotel in the downtown area. But even better--I learned that this cache (GC644BX) was published on September 26th, the same day that the beautiful Ithaca TB hotel (GC62VAB) went live. And I picked up Stella in the wee hours of September 27th as STF on the cache. Is it kismet that I would find her this perfect berth after all these years, or what? I was so happy to leave her in such a nice spot, and will be messaging her owner shortly to tell them that after these many years she's made it to port!
