Alejandro the Rhyming Parrot
Alejandro was robbed as soon as he started;
He and his owner barely were parted.
That was many years ago now,
So you can easily see how
His mission will have changed,
With his life so rearranged.
His owner and Ciera are still good friends,
And so the hope is that this mission still ends,
In sweet Ciera’s hands,
Even though they’re in distant lands.
Ciera’s husband is stationed in Norfolk, Virginia
But not for long, so we don’t know where to send ya.
For now let’s move in that direction,
Until the navy makes an election.
So for now the destination is not quite the point,
It’s with a different message Alejandro I will anoint.
Most importantly, your log must be written in poetry,
You cannot be intimidated nor compare yourself to me,
I know that my example is among the best you’ve ever read,
But believe me, you, too have it in your head.
You must tell me about the cache, about your day, about your life,
Tell me how you went geocaching with your wife,
But above all, you must write it in rhyme,
Come on now, I know you have the time.
Again, as a tl;dr - the mission of this parrot is to collect terrible, rhyming poetry until it reaches my friend Ciera, whose whereabouts are TBA.
