Deutsche Familie

In October of 1990 my mother volunteered me to host a German exchange student for a month.  She arrived in March of 1991.  She's been a part of my life ever since.  That young German girl is now a wife, a mother, and a over gracious host to my yearly visits to Europe.  Her husband is a class act, a wonderful guy, and somebody I look forward to seeing each year.  This picture is of the three of us on our way to attend Germany's 2-0 win over South Africa in Leverkusen, Germany. 

My goal is for this TB to travel around the world, and eventually end up in a cache in the Nippes neighborhood of Cologne, Germany, where my German Family now resides.  It would be nice to tell him it's there so he can go pick it up!

Im Oktober 1990 meldete sich meine Mutter um einen deutschen Austauschschuler fur einen Monat zu hosten.  Er war eine Sie und kam im Marz 1991 bei uns an.  Seitdem ist sie ein Teil meines Lebens.  Dieses junge deutsche Madchen ist jetzt eine Frau, eine Mutter, und ein uberaus liebenswurdige Gastgeberin bei meinen jahrlichen Besuchen in Europa.  Ihr Ehemann ist ein toller Typ, ein wunderbarer Kerl, und jemand ich freuen uns auf jedes Jahr.  Das BIld ist von uns Dreien auf unserem Weg zum Deutschlandspiel gegen Sudafrika in Leverkusen (2-0 fur Deutschland)

Mein Ziel ist es fur diese TB um die Welt zu reisen, und schliesslich am Ende in einem Cache in Koln-Nippes.  Meine deutsche Familie lebt jetzt dort.  Es ware schon, ihnen zu sagen konnen, dass esr jetzt dort ist, damit sie ihn holen konnen!
