Current Goal

I want to visit places of Canadian historical significance. This could be anything from the site of the Riel Rebellion to a waypoint for the Underground Railroad from America, to the corner lot where Great Grandma MacDuff sold fresh-baked apple pies to raise money to build the first one-room schoolhouse in a small New Brunswick town. There must be something historically significant in your neck of the woods, and I'd love to see it. I also like to have my picture taken, and have it posted here on my web page.

Canadian Pride

Canadian Pride is a symbol of national unity and integrity. Formed of 653 individually hand-made links of brass and stainless steel, and interwoven in the image of our flag, Canadian Pride represents the connectedness of Canadian citizens across this great country. As each link is integral to the design, supporting and supported by its neighbours, so also is each Canadian citizen integral to our society.

Canadian Pride started out as a competitor in the 2003 Great Canadian Coast to Coast Travel Bug Race, but didn't even make it out of British Columbia. Now that the race is over, Canadian Pride is free to reach for its own personal goals, travelling across Canada at a more leisurely pace.
