Current Goal

I would like to travel from cache to cache honoring all great veterans and active military. I have a special place in my heart for the VFW chapters. Please share your pictures of anyone or anywhere that honors these amazing people.

About This Item

Veteran's Day, 11-11-11...what a great day to honor my Uncle Jim Smith from Princeville, Ill. This travel bug will be originally placed in the first cache he found when I introduced him to geocaching, which he quickly loved but sadly only had the chance to do once. He loved to share the magic of "Jack and Jill" to all children with a great trick of "Fly Away Jack, Fly Away Jill" (check it out on youtube). The coin itself has an amazing story as well. It was given to my daughter by a client from Tulsa, OK who designed the coin. Pease visit his webpage to nominate a fallen hero for their sacrifice for your freedom (sacrificeforfreedom.org). This travel bug will begin it's journey on the afternoon of November 15, 2011, shortly after his funeral. Please help Uncle Jim "fly away" to share his generous love and devotion to the great USA and her military.
