About This Item

BooBoo II

The original BooBoo was an aluminium Cackekinz trackable with his identification number etched onto his back. He was a small chocolate brown bear with big paws and a cute smile.

This second incarnation of BooBoo is a small 3D brown bear who carries with him a small keyring that explains his mission to any cachers who find him without the benefit of instant internet access out in the woods!

WARNING: BooBoo, like any small child, gets bored quite easily. Unless you want him using his claws and teeth on your best caching backpack, please move him along within 2 weeks! Cheers!

Goodbye BooBoo the Baby Bear II, it’s time to let you go. I’ve dropped you at another London event. This one is in the historic The George Inn, the only surviving galleried coaching inn left in London. A pub has existed on the site since medieval times and was situated next door to an inn where Chaucer set The Canterbury Tales. In 1677, it was rebuilt after a serious fire destroyed most of Southwark. Good luck! 🐻

Very busy at work at the moment but I ran out early to get to an event near Fleet Street, London. It was by the statue of Hodge, the cat of Samuel Johnson (1709 - 1784). Dr Johnson, was an English writer who made lasting contributions as a poet, playwright, essayist, moralist, literary critic, sermonist, biographer, editor, and lexicographer. The Oxford Dictionary of National Biography calls him "arguably the most distinguished man of letters in English history". Johnson's loved his cat which was different from the usual views held by others of the eighteenth century. 😾
