Current Goal

Please take me to War Memmorials around the world. Eventually I would love it to make it to Vimy Ridge in France if Possible.

About This Item

This Pheonix Travel Bug is dedicated to my dearly departed Grandfather Glad J Lang.

He was a warrior in every sense of the world. At the age of 16 he lied about his age in order to join the Canadian Armed Forces during the Second World War. This was something he would be both proud and ashamed of because he felt he lied to his country. Even after he returned he hid his medals in his glove compartment of his car because he felt he didn't deserve them for this reason and it was only years later that he put them on display and told his tales of the horrors of the war. 

From fighting to liberate the Netherlands to fighting up Italy he fought tooth and nail to defeat the attacking armies. He even broke his noise dodging a mortar shell in Rome and was literally stabbed in the back by a Sicilian Soldier.

So please in his memory take this bug with you and protect it as it travels to various beautiful war memorials.
