Visited 2/10/2017 Pengwinldy took it to Spirits of 67 – Interrupted Journeys California - .76 miles  Visit Log

Spirits of 67-Interrupted Journeys: Out with DegelDuo doing our 360 degree challenge in Ramona today and on the way home she said "You gotta stop for this one. It's really good."So, we stopped for one more. I pulled up, got out of the car and had it in had before she even got out. I'm that good ;-). This makes 11 finds out of 11 searches today. Not too shabby.

Visited 2/10/2017 Pengwinldy took it to Air Mail California - 1.17 miles  Visit Log

Air Mail: I always look at this cute mail box high up on the pole with the "Air Mail" sign whenever I drive by. Today I stopped because there was a cache there. Found the cache but the inside was full of water. Dumped it out and removed the soggy lens wipes that were inside. Tried to seal the baggie but it wouldn't go so folded it up pretty well to try to keep the water out.

Visited 2/10/2017 Pengwinldy took it to 55-Valley Canyon California - .12 miles  Visit Log

55 - Valley Canyon: My GPSr put me 23 feet to the west of the container. I was pointed closer to a freshly dug hole by an animal of some sort. Lost of fresh dirt piles. I was afraid the container had been possibly covered and was starting to log a DNF when DegelDuo made the find further east. You're a tricky one, you are. Favorite point.

Visited 2/10/2017 Pengwinldy took it to Oh Chute! California - 1.18 miles  Visit Log

Oh Chute!: Gave this a favorite point for the location. Looks like this Chute hadn't been used for cattle in quite some time.

Visited 2/10/2017 Pengwinldy took it to Ramona Smiley California - .28 miles  Visit Log

Ramona Smiley: Even though this was in the same spoke for my 360 degree challenge as "The Killers", we decided to stop for this one anyway since it was there and we had time. Made quick work of it.

Visited 2/10/2017 Pengwinldy took it to The Killers: Smile Like You Mean It California - 2.09 miles  Visit Log

The Killers: Smile Like You Mean It: Parked at the church across the street and walked over. Found it in to time at all. Left my signature penguin.

Visited 2/10/2017 Pengwinldy took it to 4:10 To Horse'n Around in Ramona California - 2.22 miles  Visit Log

4:10 To Horse'n Around in Ramona: OK. So I've seen these 4:10 caches on the map and asked DegelDuo what the 4:10 was all about. My guess was that it was in reference to a train schedule. Boy, was I wrong! This one was sticking out about 1/4 of an inch so I found it fairly easily (it still took me two passes though). Reminded me of when I was a kid and we had a reloading station in my bedroom. I used to work on them with my dad. Ah, fond memories.

Visited 2/10/2017 Pengwinldy took it to (C) VC serries extention California - 4.12 miles  Visit Log

    (C) VC series extension: After this morning's hike on the Mt Woodson Trail, I decided to head out to Ramona to work on my 360 degree challenge so I called up DegelDuo and off we went. This was the first stop and we were a bit worried because there was a lot of activity with the power line crew working nearby. Thankfully they stopped just a few hundred feet up the road and there were no muggles nearby. DD had a DNF last time and got to GZ before I did to start searching. I walked right up to it, had a better angle and found it immediately.

Visited 2/10/2017 Pengwinldy took it to Perfect Campsite California - .38 miles  Visit Log

Perfect Campsite: Headed back to our cars and I couldn't resist. Just one more cache on the hike. My fellow hikers were kind to wait for me to grab another one.

Visited 2/10/2017 Pengwinldy took it to RS-Top of the grade California - 63.59 miles  Visit Log

RS - Top of the Grade: The plan was to hike to this spot and turn back and grab a cache along the way. We stopped to rest and then I noticed I was a few feet from another cache. So this was the second one. While I was looking for it the sheriffs were practicing landing their helicopter nearby
