This is another TB that participated in the 2011/12 SwanMel Dragon Race. TBs were released at MegaWales on 31st July 2011 and had to get to Mega NorthWest by 11th August 2012. This one made it to Cartmel, but was not one of the first three so did not win a prize.
So I reclaimed it from Cartmel, and set it on its way as a simple trackable.
In Norse mythology, Fafnir was the son of the Dwarf-king Hreidmar. He was gifted with a powerful arm and fearless soul, and for that reason he was chosen to guard his father's house of glittering gold and flashing gems. Unfortunately he became consumed by greed, killed his father Hreidmar, and went out into the wilderness to keep his fortune, eventually turning into a dragon (a symbol of greed) in order to guard his treasure.
