Lyve Of Bryan

This Geocoin is dedicated to the movie “Monty Python’s Life of Brian” and wants to visit places, that are important for the movie:

- Henley-on-Thames, GB:  If possible, take a picture of Bryan next to George Harrison's former home "Friar Park". The film would not have been made without Harrison, who set up "Handmade Films" to help fund it at a cost of £3 million (a move later described by Eric Idle as the "world's most expensive cinema ticket"). Harrison put up the money for it as he "wanted to see the movie".

- Jerusalem, Israel: If possible, take some pictures of Bryan in Jerusalem, the city, where most of the plot takes place

- Monastir, Tunesia: If possible, take a picture of Bryan at or near the film's shooting locations.

- Sousse, Tunesia: If possible, take a picture of Bryan at or near the film's shooting locations.

- Matmata, Tunesia: If possible, take a picture of Bryan at or near the film's shooting locations.

- Carthage, Tunesia: If possible, take a picture of Bryan in or near the amphitheatre.

And don't forget:   Always look on the bright side of life!

On a Mega-event in Germany, one of the Big Three of Groundspeak, Bryan, gave me this Geocoin. I wondered about an interesting mission and finally the name of the donator inspired me, although it is spelled in a different way: "The Life of Brian" is a 1979 comedy film by the British "Monty Python"-Team. It used to be accused by some for being blasphemic, but it is not! It does not make fun of Jesus or Christianity or any other particular religion, it only makes fun of the human affinity for believing in what they want to believe in.
