A personal coin for my collection and to viewed and discovered at events and get togethers.
The coin celebrates 2011 as the 10 year anniversary of Geocaching in Saskatchewan. The art depicts a prairie valley scene with grain elevator and tracks on one side, and a canoeist on one of the over 100,000 lakes in the northern forests of the province on their way to place a new geocache.
The coin is an 'Antique' nickel die-cast, 3mm thick, and 42mm diameter. On top of the blue translicent sky, the elevator side of the coin has 6 enamel colours on top of the nickel base, and the lake side has 11. The sky is a translucent blue fill, and the skyline of the top of the elevator, and the hat of the canoeist lines up on the opposing sides.
