This amulet has been found again recently in a treasure box in Middelburg, the Netherlands, and was well know in the middle Ages for bringing good health and resistance to alcohol poisoning to his bearer, perhaps because the metal, hematite, is linked to the liver. It apparently was left with a message (now destroyed) giving instructions to send the amulet to the island of Rügen, Germany.
Why? Well, we can only know by sending it there, right?
