Current Goal

Because of who this coin memorializes, I'd say the fitting thing would be to drop it in caches best accessed by motorcycle or ATV. If you can think of a different way to work something motorcycle-related into the coin's history, great! If it's just not possible for you to do these things, then keep it going along the trail ... rack up as many miles as you can on it.

About This Item

This coin looks a lot like a pressed penny in color and shape. It is dedicated to an avid geocacher and motorcycle enthusiast named Jerry Gradisher from the San Diego area. As the coin says, he lost his life in a motorcycle accident early in 2006.

I guess that if there's ever a silver lining to stories like this one, it would be that the deceased was doing what he loved when the end came.
