This TB sucessfully completed it's journey from Ohio to California in 8 months!! Thanks to all to helped it along the way.. The other Race Home TB's have been lost and are MIA.. Now this TB will just tour the world. Send him to where ever you please.

YESTERDAY I WAS W/ MY GRANDPA, I WAS COMING HOME FROM PALMDALE. MY DAD KNEW ABOUT THIS SPOT. I FOUND THE TRAVEL BUG(MY FIRST CACHE). WE TOOK IT HOME TO TEHACHAPI. WE WILL FIND A NEW HOME FOR THE TRAVEL BUG AND WILL LET YOU KNOW SOON

Thudpucker did give me back this TB. It was the only winner of the race home. Thanks to all who helped it on it's way. I'll have to send it out on a new adventure.. Maybe an adventure to find it's long lost fellow racers!?!?!

Had some great Anderson's Pea Soup and picked up this green and purple race car TB. Went to San Jose, cops cleared the parking lot at the Windham hotel at 2:30am, breaking up a rave party or something. So we had to let the TB into our room for the evening. We're going to place it in its goal cache on our return home. Will post photos soon, the Sorudne Team

We found Cache: (GC7EB4) Pea Soup Cache by EHYAMO, on Saturday, November 15, 2003, at about 9:05 A.M. PST.

While on vacation in Las Vegas this past week, we met up with a local cacher, Dr. Webe. The good doctor asked us to please help transport the green and purple racecar of The Great Race Home III, TB9516, to somewhere in California. After we had gotten on the internet on our way home while resting in Santa Nella, California, we realized the green and purple racecar was supposed to be enroute to Santa Clarita, California, a mere, 240.3 miles from Santa Nella, due South. Our route of travel had taken us on Hwy 58 that ranges from 49 to 68 miles from Santa Clarita as the crow flies, however, we wanted to get back to our redwoods in Northern California. Sorry about that.

To any and all Geocachers heading Southbound from the San Francisco or Sacramento areas into the Los Angeles Basin, please stop by Santa Nella, California and see the Pea Soup Cache and help the green and purple racecar, TB9516, get back to Santa Clarita, California, as soon as possible. Many of the regular sized caches in Santa Clarita, California, are within 5 miles of Interstate 5. Not too much of a deviation to help a traveler.

This post is so large, because we are going to copy and paste it to a message on the forums to get greater coverage.
Anyway, we spent an inordinate amount of time talking about the TB, so now, let us talk about the Geocache.

The morning was overcast and cold for Santa Nella. The temps were much more pleasing while staying in Las Vegas, Nevada. However, temps and seasons change.

In view of all of the above, we were so glad to find there was a cache right here in Santa Nella where we had given up our journey for the night. From what we know of this spot, the little racer should not be here long. This is a very busy location and on many people’s, “We have to stop and eat here,” list.

We took the battery-operated fan and left our NCFLYERS Geocaching sticker in the logbook, a Redwoods California key chain, and, the green and purple racecar of, The Great Race Home III, TB9516.
