While most famous in recent times for the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) and the search for the Higgs-Boson particle, the European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN), is a physics laboratory in Geneva, Switzerland used by thousands of scientists to conduct many other experiments. One successful experiment you may have heard of: the World Wide Web. (In case you haven’t heard of it, you’re on it. Right now.)
This trackable began its journey at the Science EXPO day during the 2013 Seattle Science Center Festival. Six trackables were launched on June 8, 2013 from the Geocaching booth, all with different Science, Technology, Engineering, & Mathematics (STEM) destinations. Each trackable hopes to get to their specific scientific destination and then return to Geocaching HQ in Seattle, WA.
