Current Goal

Born HIV positive on January 25, 1985, Denelle lived just 238 days. In that short time, she brought immeasurable love, joy, and light to those who knew her.

In her short time among us, she would have no chance to make friends, ride a bus to her first day of school, see her favorite movie, celebrate a birthday, or open a  Christmas present with her family. She had only enough time to know that she had a sister, a brother, a mother and father who loved her.

At the dawn of this terrible disease, the childs mother was infected, not by a dirty needle, or reckless lifestyle, but by ignorance. Doctors not yet aware of the possibility of HIV tainted donor blood, infused her during routine surgery. Later, a child conceived, was doomed.

Today, the disease continues to spread. By needle, by recklessness, and most painfully, by Ignorance.

The goal of this trackable is to go where ever you would like to take it. Please post images of her journey and share her story.  If her story changes one life for the better, if her story saves just one person, then her short life will have counted for something beyond the joy she brought us.

God bless your family and your little one! I have a little one who was born with Liver Disease and at the age of 8 monthts was able to recieve a liver transplant. She is now approaching 2 years old and doing fine. I would dare say that if she was loved and brought joy and happiness to at least one person, then her life meant something.
