I went down to Chula Vista to referee judo at the Cal State Games today. Since I was pretty far south (about 5 miles north of the California/Mexico border), I took a moment to look for a geocache. In a busy little park across the street from the high school, I found I was tall enough to reach a little bison tube about 6' up!

Discovered. Way to go home school students.

We came to this little man made lake for a short evening walk with a friend her geodog... Irvine has many beautiful parks and this one is no exception. Ducks, turtles, and tons of people out to enjoy the SoCal weather! Luckily, the little gazebo on the lake was free of muggles so I had a chance to grab this cache!

Do small, man-made lakes in a regional park stocked for fishing and next to tons of picnicing count for your goal?

We stopped by to check out this park as a potential location for a group picnic next month. It's great! A few little lakes, tons of picnic tables, playgrounds, walking paths, places to fish and boats to rent. Just the place to unwind after an agility trial nearby. The geodogs provided excellent cover as I searched for the geocache. Either that, or they held their stays in anticipation of a treat. Either way, cache was found, and doggos got treats.

Spent the day at the Olivelands School for Mika's nose work trial. We had a beautiful view of the orange trees during the day, and this was a quick cache to find before the drive.

Found on a weekday evening walking along Aliso Creek Trail. I didn't see this when it posted, so I had to swing by once I realized there was one near my usual walking areas. With the evening traffic, I hope the geodogs provided cover as I jiggled and poked and wiggled the cache to extract it from its hiding place!

    • GC7AMR4 You found the cache, I provided the cover, now I get a treat!

I came to the school down the street for Mika's nose work trial. I had a long wait time in the middle of the day. What else would I do except walk over to find a geocache? Especially a dog themed one! This one was on a small bridge over, with a field of California Poppies across the street. This place is incredibly beautiful!

I had some time to fill before agility class with one of my geodogs, so of course I took the geodogs to a new park! Another little artificial lake in neighborhood park. We didn't see any turtles but we did see a Black-crowned Night Heron, and Google Photos created a panorama for me...
