Celedon has built a new house with a window and a balcony. Now he wants to travel the world collecting interesting photos of where he has been to decorate his house. Ideally he would like photos of you holding an open umbrella.
Celedon is the character who opens the fiestas at Vitoria-Gasteiz, in the Basque Country (Spain) at 6.00pm on the 4th August every year. He descends with his umbrella from the top of the tower of the church of San Miguel over the Plaza de la Virgen Blanca and a crowd of several thousand champagne popping, singing revellers. Once Celedon gets to the end he assumes human form and fights his way through the crowd back to the church where he gives a speech to open the week-long fiestas.
