Gunnar is a brave little fellow and like his Viking ancestors he has a real a real itch to explore new places. His home country is beautiful but he hopes to travel to many other sites of natural wonder before returning to his roots. When he is not accompanying a trusted Geocacher, please help Gunnar stay out of sight in various well hidden caches.
BTW, Gunnar introduced us to Gull Beer, Brio, Boli and Viking Ale while touring Iceland. So please feel free to share a toast with Gunnar and post photos of him on his travels.
You can probably tell from his size that Gunnar is a little person. Actually, Gunnar is one of the Hidden People who inhabit the hillls and caves in Iceland. We heard about the mysterious Hidden People from Willie an excentric collector and artist who lives and displays his unique collection of stone sculptures, whale bones and carved characters in Djupivogur Village competing with the gigantic marble Egg display at Gleðivík Bayin East-Iceland . We first met Gunnar at Gullfoss, an incredible waterfall on the Hvítá (White) river in Southern Icelan. The river is fed by Iceland´s second biggest glacier, the Langjökull. Gunnar later accompanied us on a hike up this Glacier. Gunnar is a brave little fellow and like his Viking ancestors he has a real a real itch to explore new places. In addition to trekking up the galcier he accompanied us on our ten day exploration of the many wonders of Iceland.
