To visit unique trees, and especially caches that require tree climbing. You see, we giraffes like to be high up in the trees, and we get SO excited when we find one of your caches there, too! (It's REALLY hard for us to find those "nanos" in sign posts or pill bottles in guardrails!)
Since I need lots of room to roam, please keep me moving. Someday, maybe I'll even be able to visit my ancestoral home in Northern Africa! That is where we Kordofan giraffes live, but we are shrinking in numbers rapidly. Although not as endangered as some of our cousins (with populations as low as 200 for the West Africa giraffes), we are prized for our tails, our pelts and our meat. Although we do have natural enemies, our greatest enemy, and greatest protectors, are humans. As our natural habitats are destroyed, we are forced into smaller areas, and are therefore easier to track, for protection, or for destruction.
Please, help protect me as I travel!

This cache is near a place an old man with a rullator ( the walking tool most often used by older people with problems to walk) hade gone missing in this forest an found sind some days later unfortunately not alive.
I was planning to drop you off here but as the cache was so seldom found you only got to visit it.
And we found these chanterelles close by.
