To vist footballing towns.
"Derby Day" is the term used for a football match between 2 "local" teams. Biggest rivalries in the North West of England are Manchester United vs Liverpool and Manchester United vs Manchester City.
The term "Derby" originates probably from the town of Ashbourne in the English county of DERBYshire, where a football match is held on Shrove Tuesday (Mardi Gras in some countries) between teams from either side of the river which runs through the town. Teams consist of as many players as possible, goals are 2 miles apart and most of the match is played in the river!
This Dog tag is a commerative figure from a recent Manchester Derby between City and United.
