Felix Tatius Nerva, a soldier with the Ninth Spanish Legion, has survived the ferocious battle in the misty highlands of northern Scotland and would like to rejoin the Roman Army. He is prepared to travel long distances, and fight if needed, in order to return home.
Along with Nerva, there are 2 other soldiers and a commander of the Ninth Spanish Legion who have survived. These 4 lone survivors have been separated and scattered across the UK and Ireland. If found, please help them along on their travels.
Formed in 65 BC, the Ninth Spanish Legion (Legio IX Hispana) was one of the oldest and most feared units in the Roman Army. The Ninth Legion is known to have fought victorious campaigns across the Empire, from Gaul to Africa, Sicily to Spain, and Germania to Britannia. No one knows why, but sometime after AD 108, the Ninth Legion disappeared from the records. This disappearance is surrounded by theories, the most popular (although probably incorrect) is that the Ninth, numbering close to 4000 men, was sent to vanquish the barbarian Picts found north of Hadrian’s Wall in Britannia, and mysteriously never returned.
