The goal of this travel bug is to visit the mountain caches in the Western United States and other areas of the world where mountain search and rescue people dwell.
The original TB was taken by SnakeCharmer, an alleged SAR member. He was emailed several times, but failed to respond or place the TB back into circulation. So here it is in a proxy and a picture.
If you take me, keep me in the mountains. If you can and it doesn't burden my travel, attach items or notes to let me know who you are.
The brakebar is a device originally used for rappelling. It was used with a carabiner, the rope placed up, over and back down through the carabiner, providing friction and a brake for the rappel.
