The lynx is the only cat native to Alaska. It's populations are very cyclical and depends on the population of snowshoe hares and other small prey. The lynx is similar to a bobcat, but has longer legs, furry feet that act as snowshoes, tufts on tips of ears, and a black tipped tail.
