Current Goal

To travel, travel, travel from cache to cache.

Please note this is a proxy.  I love finding trackables in the wild, but so many geocoins tend to go missing.  I've read that over 95% of geocoins that are released to travel from cache to cache go missing.  I'm sending out a "Migration" proxy in place of the original coin and will hold onto the original to bring to events for folks to discover.  This proxy is actually a pin that came with the coin, and duplicates the center portion of the coin.

About This Item

migration coin and proxy

The behavioral migration of animals and birds is one of the great mysteries of nature. The seasonal long-distance movement tests the endurance and stamina of a species to the brink. This coin celebrates and features 7 migratory species: the Monarch Butterfly, Coho Salmon, Grey Whale, Canadian Goose, Green sea turtle, Arctic Tern and North American Caribou. How these species are able to accomplish their long treks is both awe-inspiring and bewildering.

Grab It (Not from a Cache) 4/26/2020 kayjaybay grabbed it   Visit Log

I was walking in Bellamy Perserve in Bethlehem, CT, with my boyfriend. We were enjoying the cold brisk air, the light rain, walking around the perseve viewing the most beautiful piece of property. While there we decided well let's see if there's any geocaches and sure enough there were 3. we found the first one pretty easy decided to skip the second one until the way back because of the path we took went to the third one found it headed back towards the second one. While there the GPS was not on point and it was a little further than others stated, but easily, found the geocache. Inside discovered my first geocoin, and now here I am logging it! I can not wait to go and hide it!
