I'm also interested in hearing quick stories about where you were on 9/11/01. Personally I was working outside of Reading, Pennsylvania. When the first plane hit I was in a management meeting where we were being told that we were closing the office and everyone would lose their jobs by Halloween. When we walked out of the conference room to have a meeting with our staff (close to 75 people), the 2nd plane had already hit. As HR announced that everyone would soon be out of work, the first tower fell. I remember that it was a surreal day, where no one could get any information (as the interenet was completely locked up), and no one knew how to react. Remember, in the first hours we didn't know how bad it really was, but most of my co-workers were more upset about the events of 9/11 than they were to find out they were out of work. The staff was somewhat young, and I remember being impressed because I figured they would be more worried about themselves.
