We'll stick to the locales of the original Shelley novel. In the story they talk about Geneva, Switzerland, Ingolstadt, Germany, the Orkney Islands (Outside Scotland), and finally the North Pole. I know those are very lofty goals, so in the mean time, he'd like to travel far and wide. Frankie would like to try to avoid human eye contact as he knows his appearance may repulse people. He also would not like to be picked up by anyone named Victor. He doesn't like Victors. If you happen to find a mate for Frankie, he'd like to take her to the wilds of South America to retire.

The travel bug is a depiction of Frankenstein's monster. A creation rejected by his own creator, Dr. Frankenstein. Part of Frankenstein's rejection of his creation is the fact that he does not give it a name, which gives it a lack of identity. Instead it is referred to by words such as "monster", "creature", "demon", "devil", "fiend", "wretch" and "it". When Frankenstein converses with the monster in Chapter 10, he addresses it as "vile insect", "abhorred monster", "fiend", "wretched devil" and "abhorred devil". The creature has often been mistakenly called "Frankenstein". In 1908 one author said "It is strange to note how well-nigh universally the term "Frankenstein" is misused, even by intelligent people, as describing some hideous monster..."
