Current Goal

I placed this coin during a fishing trip to Phillip Island, VIC and thought the experience was one worth sharing.

This coin is trying to visit caches near favorite fishing spots around the world.

A second mission is to brag about the fish that you may have caught in that favorite spot.

About This Item

The pier at Cowes is a very nice spot to fish from with all of the facilities available near by. Even though it was cold, wet and miserable Ash-Dash and I still had a great time, and to top it off I caught a very nice King George Whiting for dinner.

Retrieved from GEGP #0 - The Great Eastlink Geocache Project today. I don't fish so I can't add a story but I will put it in a cache where it can see water...oh...did go fishing with my Dad at Lake Maquarie years ago, caught a fish with a brilliant blue spike, fairly large, large enough to keep, but Dad made me throw it back because he thought it was poisonous. We later found out it was a leatherjacket and that it would have been wonderful to eat! Dad never lived that one down!
