The Compass WAS an aluminiun trackable tag with its trackable number etched onto the back. It is attached to a small keyring that explains the mission to cachers who do not have instant internet connection out in the wilderness!
WARNING: The needle of a compass can seize up. To keep this pointing in the direction of adventure please don't leave it in a backpack for too long. It doesn't want to hibernate so please move along within two weeks! Happy Caching!
Now yet another relaunch it is a small compass attached to a replica dog tag. Still as special to me though!
