Reviewer's Watering Hole...

…ein weiteres kleines Highlight in der Sammlung! Von dieser Coin wussten wir nicht einmal, dass es sie gibt, bevor sie kürzlich in einem großen Online-Auktionshaus aufgetaucht ist. Der Plan war klar – haben müssen! Während der Laufzeit der Auktion haben wir uns einerseits Gedanken gemacht, was das denn wohl für eine urige Kneipe inmitten der Altstadt Londons ist, in der sich regelmäßig die Reviewer bis zur Besinnungslosigkeit besaufen und sich dann die Backsteine über die Schädel ziehen, um sich gegenseitig für die gemachten Fehler bei der Kontrolle eingereichter Caches zu bestrafen… andererseits aber haben wir auch ein wenig recherchiert. Was dabei herausgekommen ist, ist weit weniger amüsant – hinter dem „Wasserloch für Reviewer“ steckt ein Forum im Netz, in dem sich die Reviewer - und eben NUR die Reviewer - halt über dies und das (über was genau bleibt aufgrund der streng geheimen Login-Funktion allerdings im Verborgenen – vielleicht wollen wir das auch gar nicht wissen…) austauschen können. Ich finde die erste Idee aber dennoch besser….und stelle mir weiter eine urige Kneipe mitten in Londons Altstadt vor ;-) !!

... another cute highlight within the collection! We did not even know that a Coin like this is existing until it recently came up in a major online auctionhouse. The plan was clear - must have that thing! During the auction we thought, on the one hand, what kind of a quaint pub it is, located in the middle of the old town of London, in which regularly the reviewers get drunk to the unconsciousness and then pull the bricks over their skulls to punish the errors made in the control of submitted Caches ... and on the other hand we also did some research. What then came out of it is far less amusing - behind the "water hole for reviewers" is a forum on the net, in which the reviewers - ONLY the Reviewers - discuss about this and that (about what exactly remains unknown due to the top secret login function, however - maybe we also do not want to know that ...). In my opinion the first idea about this coin still is better ... .and safe myself the imagination of a quaint pub in the middle of London's old town ;-)!
