Der Save our Playing Field 2011 Geocoin ist der Nachfolger des gleichnamigen Vorjahrescoins. Damals wurde der WWF für die Rettung von Regenwald unterstützt.
Für den diesjährigen Geocoin haben wir das Plant for the Planet Projekt ausgesucht.
Diese Organisation agiert unter dem Slogan "Stop Talking. Start Planting" ung setzt sich auf der ganzen Welt für das Pflanzen von Bäumen ein. Bis zum heutigen Tag (Oktober 2011) wurden bereits mehr als 3,9 Millionen Bäume durch die Aktion gefördert.

Mit jedem verkauften Geocoin wird Plant for the Planet finanziell unterstützt einen weiteren Baum zu pflanzen:
1 Geocoin = 1 Baum

Flew into Vegas from Saskatchewan and spent the night. The next morning, rented a car to Phoenix, AZ to pick up a snowbird's car and return it to Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. Stayed 2nd night in Albuquerque, NM and 3rd in Lusk, WY and 4th in Wiliston, ND. Just about to cross boarder north of Plentwood and drop the car off today. Just a few more KM to go!! Stayed second night in Albuquerque, NM and 3rd in Lusk, WY It's currently the 4th day of the trip, and we will probably stay in Wiliston, ND after visiting Crazy Horse and Mount Rushmore. Just a few more KM to go. I will bring this TB back to Saskatchewan.
