I am....and always will be.... a lover of Rock-n-Roll Music. Aerosmith, Bad Company, Lynyrd Skynyrd, The Eagles....just to name a few. My heart belongs to them now and always will.
But there was a time, in the late '70s, that this little era of music called..... Disco.... hit the scene.
At first I rolled my eyes at it.....not my cup of tea.....but once I turned 18 and I could actually do the club scene my friends, I would strap on my 5 inch heels and hit the dance floors.,... and I am not ashamed to say....I had a blast!
Disco spawned some really great tunes! Admit it...if you were a teenager in the late '70s you had to have loved at least one song by the Bee Gees!! Come on! You know you did!
To this day, if I am channel surfing and I come across John Travolta as Tony Manero in the movie Saturday Night Fever, I just have to stop and watch it. I can't help it!
So the mission of this little Disco Travel Bug is to make it to where Disco was born.....Brooklyn, New York!
If you happen to be the one to get it to its destination...or someone who comes across it... if it actually gets there.....will you do me a favor and snap a picture of it on the Brooklyn Bridge?
That would make my day!
With a little help....Disco is Stayin' Alive!
