BAmik was originally from Vancouver B.C, he was found during a short trip then brought back to Corvallis, Oregon. Corvallis is home of the Oregon State Beavers. He enjoys pictures of himself in wetlands and trees! Please take him back home to Vancouver B.C.!
The 1976 Summer Olympics in Montreal saw Amik the beaver as their mascot. The name Amik means beaver in the Algonquin language, the most widespread language among Canada's Native Americans. Benny the beaver is the Oregon State University mascot. Bamik is the product of a long and happy relationship between the two![[;)]](/images/icons/icon_smile_wink.gif "[;)]")
