This bug has reached its goal and has been picked up by Austin!
To reach the Wallace Wilderness cache, about an hour north-east of Kansas City, Missouri, collecting kid-appropriate jokes on the way.
Note: New destination: the other one was archived!
This travel bug has reached its destination and has arrived in the hands of Austin, who enjoyed picking it up (they made a family day of it) immensely!
PLEASE DO NOT PICK UP THIS TRAVEL BUG!!!
This travel bug is now in a prime spot to be picked up by its intended new owner! It has travelled over 6,300 miles to reach him, and took about 3 years to get there, but it's finally within a few miles of Austin, ready to deliver laughs and fun from many folks all across America!
THANK YOU EVERYONE WHO CONTRIBUTED TO THIS BUG'S JOURNEY! We'll keep you posted about how it all turns out!
I'm sending this waterproof joke book to my 6 year old nephew Austin, who currently lives near Trenton, Missouri, but anywhere near Kansas City is fine (his grandmother geocacher bondradine geocaches near KC).
When you get this bug, feel free to take a week or so to read through the jokes and then add one to it. Then, place it in a cache that is at least 500 feet closer to its target destination.
You can take up to a full page if you need to, but please no long "Shaggy Dog" stories. Short, funny, kid-appropriate jokes only. One-liners or two-liners are fine. Dumb-silly jokes are ok. Austin is almost 7 years old now; sick ("dead baby" jokes for example), racist, or "adult" humor jokes are inappropriate; please don't include them. If you don't know if a joke is appropriate, contact me and ask before you write it in the book. Sign your joke with your geocaching username and date it, like so:
Q: "How do you catch a unique rabbit?"
A: "Unique up on it!"

Found it. I will have to hang onto it for a week. I am traveling out to Massecusetts and I don't want it to get that far from Kansas City. I will try to get it closer.

My 11 year old son had fun reading the jokes. He took it to school and showed it with a report on geocaching. We are hoping to drop it off today - with any luck.

We had a lot of fun reading the jokes and coming up with some of our own. Left the Joke Book at a very kid-friendly cache just outside of St. Louis. Hoping it makes a quick trip to Austin!

Picked up the joke book off the southbound Interstate in Kentucky. We're headed to Florida, but will be headed back towards Iowa in a week. So I hope to drop it off a little closer to Austin. Still has about 6 pages left, so it better hurry on its way. What a fun idea! We enjoyed reading the jokes and TRYING to remember appropriate ones to add.
