Current Goal

Feeling sad that Mandeville only had a matter of months of fame and would now be confined to the history books or the bottom of cupboards we decided to release him as a travel bug to enjoy an adventure to some of the Countries whose athletes took part in the Paralympic Games.

Mandeville's mission is to visit some of those countries and ultimately end up in Rio de Janerio in 2016 in time to watch Paralympics held there.

Any photos of his travels would be much appreciated!

About This Item

Mandeville

Mandeville was the official mascot of the 2012 Summer Paralympic Games held in London. Mandeville is named in honour of Stoke Mandeville Hospital which is based in the British village of Stoke Mandeville where the first ever organised sporting event for disabled athletes was held, which was the originator to the modern Paralympic Games
