A big thanks to hunnebear8561 for placing Spots the Frog from it's stay in Donkey Kong, in Washington State to it's intended destination in Hawaii starting 9/3 and then finally in it's stay in Suck, Peel, Dip, Eat! at the Shrimp Shack. Regretfully, I didn't notice it's arrival until chachycpt retrieved it from Suck, Peel, Dip, Eat!, today.
This travel bug started its travels on March 3rd, 2012 from "The Spooky Old Tree" that we placed in our first geocache on our Feb 2011 Troop 700 Lodge Camping Trip at a Girl Scout Camp in Oakton, Virginia. The Girl Scouts requested that I move the cache, so it moved a short distance away off the property and the cache name changed to "The Spider Hole". Spots the Frog left before the relocation of the cache.
When I asked the girls (they were Junior Girl Scouts at the time) where they would want it to end up, they told me Hawaii. I told them it would never make it there from Virginia, how about a different location? They stood their ground and I've been tracking its journey ever since. It's journey took 18 months and even landed in France before heading back to the US and now I have egg on my face!
