Bounce around the globe collecting signatures of baseball fans.
This TB needs to have its story told now that it has already travelled more than 7,000 miles, starting at 7,100' on top of Mt. Whistler on the west coast of Canada, then to PEI on the eastern side of the continent, and then over the pond to Scotland to delight in the Haggis.
"Dartman" is the moniker of a charming and gregarious investments consultant in Chicago, Il. Dartman rides our METRA commuter train every day to go to work, impeccably dressed and sporting a straw, white or black fedora, depending on the weather or season. If Dartman met you once he'll always know your name and those of your spouse and children, as well. He could have retired years ago but chooses to remain vibrant. Whenever you run into Dartman he'll give you a trinket with "Dartman" and his phone number written on it. I've received pens, keyboard brushes and, yes, rubber baseballs designed to help squeeeeze the stress out of my life. As newbies to the world of Geocaching, my son and I decided to attach the Dartman's baseball to a TB dog tag and take it with us on a vacation in Whistler, Canada. The rest is history.
I make a point of giving Dartman an update of his TB whenever I see him on the train. He's amazed and bewildered. Who would have thought that ball he pulled out of his briefcase and placed in my hand on a hot ride home last summer would be in the company of explorers enjoying Haggis.
