Blossum is happy to travel around from cache to cache but prefers being near trees. She has been holidaying for a year now in the Czech Republic and would like to move on. Mr&mrs fish love to see photos of Blossom's travels.
Blossum is a Brushtail Possum, a nocturnal marsupial native to Australia. She prefers Eucalytus leaves but has a varied diet including flowers, fruits and seeds. Possums have adapted well to city life, and are inventive foragers with a liking for fruit trees, vegetable gardens and even kitchen raids. They usually sleep in natural dens in trees and caves, but will happily move into a house roof if they find a hole. Their young will travel on a mother's back for up to 9 months, and at night you may hear possum grunts, gutteral coughs and screeching as they move about, particularly if there are dogs around. They are not large, weighing only about 1 to 4 kg, but may live about 13 years.
