This is perfect traveling item. Everyone in Poland knows Matołek the Silly-Goat (Koziołek Matołek). Matołek the Silly-Goat is a fictional character created by Kornel Makuszyński (story) and Marian Walentynowicz (art) in first and most famous Polish comics back in 1933. It became a cult classic popular since its creation till today and an important part of canon of Polish children literature. As it is quite easy to get all information about Matołek the Silly-Goat from the Internet (in English) I can only add that the story influenced generations and even Polish language itself.
I had not find any translation and certainly was unable to translate even the beginning of the story keeping rhymes and rythm in English so it must be enough to say that it is a story of the Matołek's journey to Pacanów (a little town in Polish mountains). Matołek decided to get to Pacanów because it was believed that this was the only place where blacksmiths made horseshoes for goats. As he was not very wise his journey was really very long - Matołek visited not only many places in Poland but got to other continents and... even to the Moon.
