    Went to find some caches after thanksgiving during that awkward time when you're sitting around with lots of people you don't really know. Arrived at the park with 20 minutes before closing time, but it was still super dark. Made the find and got back with time still left before closing time. Took a travel bug bear to go back to Texas with us.

    Photo taken in Woodland Park, Colorado, where we live and close to our home, have a very good view of Pikes Peak. At 14,110 feet (4300 meters), Pikes Peak was the inspiration to Katharine Lee Bates who, in 1895, wrote "America the Beautiful". In the attached photo, Pikes Peak is the tallest mountain, near the center of the picture. Also, Pikes Peak is the site of the second oldest auto race in the US – the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb (PPIHC), second only to the Indianapolis 500.
