One of my favorite sketches, Luigi Vercotti is clearly not talking about a watch. In fact in 1970 I doubt there were any watches made in China for the export market, Taiwan maybe. 

Anyhow I was looking for something to launch at the Metro Mega and found this cheap corporate giveaway watch that had been sittingin my closest for 10-15 years and when I saw it was made in China, it reminded me of the sketch.
