Pinapple Man is now in Ventura California. We'll try to find a cache for him today but in the mean time we're posting pictures of him on a boat trip to Anacapa Island where he had great fun yesterday.

P.S. We gave Pineapple Man a maple leaf pin to show his origins.

  • At the famous arch of Anacapa Island Just under an hour boat ride from Ventura, these islands are part of a national park system. This arch is one of the more famous landmarks and on a clear day you can see it from the mainland.
  • Inspiration Point, Anacapa Island A short hike after a steep climb of 185 steps brings you to this point, which is well named as Inspiration Point. Pineapple Man was interested in seeing all the leopard sharks below in the water, apparently harmless, but maybe not for someone the size of Pineapple Man. He stayed well away from the edge of the cliff.
  • Leaving Anacapa Island This was the boat Pineapple Man travelled on. No signs of sea-sickness, he's going to make such a strong traveller.
  • Ventura Pier The Ventura Pier used to be the longest wooden pier in California. Unfortunately storms kept washing away the end of the pier and they've had to shore it up with metal bracing so now it's no longer the longest wooden pier. Still a nice place to visit.

Looking for travel bugs to take on our trip to California this week and Pineapple Man seemed to be the perfect travel bug since he looks like he needs to go to Hawaii with his outfit.

We'll post pictures of his journey - he'll see some tall ships in Ventura and maybe some fireworks.

  • PMGE and the CN Tower PMGE (Pineapple Man Global Explorer) went to Leslie Street Spit where he had a nice view of the CN tower before being whisked away to California
