Delrena Church age (probably 15 marriage license says 16) and J. C. "Jay" Bell age 17 were married 9/211937. They tried farming as share croppers in Oklahoma in the early years of their marriage. In the late 40's they moved to Washington State here Jay worked in the orchards along the north shore of Lake Chelan.
They moved back to Oklahoma where their youngest,a daughter, started schoolin 1949. She and her brother, Derrall graduated from the Elmore City schools.
Jay worked a a derrick man for Sohio Petroleum company for most of his working career. Delrena took jobs waitressing and in at least one laundryto supplement their income.
Jay died of cancer in April of 1982. Whereas Delena passed in 1909.
